 Dr. Killgore and Dr. Shaftel shared a common dream of providing high quality dentistry that is not only comfortable and convenient but also cost-conscious.

In 2009, they created Afinia Dental to serve families in West Chester and beyond.

Afinia comes from the word affinity, which means to have a natural attraction to an idea. Our idea was to create a practice offering convenient and comfortable dental care. Once we had the name, we began by asking ourselves some very important questions:

• Is it possible to take some of the fear out of going to the dentist by making our patients more comfortable? Can we make them feel relaxed and informed through every step of their dental experience?
• Can we provide cost-conscious dentistry that doesn't cut corners and offers the best dental care possible?
• Can we answer our patients’ requests for convenient dentistry that fits into their schedule? Can we stay open late and provide Saturday appointments?

We believe the answer to all these questions is a resounding YES, which is why we created a dental practice here in West Chester designed to positively answer those each and every day.
