FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BY AFINIA PATIENTS

 

- What are the office hours?

For your convenience our office is open Monday - Friday 7:30am - 7:30pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am - 1:30pm.

 

-Can you schedule my family all at once?

We prefer to schedule only one family member per day just in case you have to cancel your appointments due to unforeseen circumstances. However, there are limited evenings in which we can schedule two family members. Yes, we have selected days and time that we can schedule two family members together.

 

-Do you guarantee that my cleaning will be done at my first appointment?

Although we strive to get your cleaning done at your initial appointment, not everyone needs the same type of cleaning. We perform a comprehensive exam that determines the level of cleaning you will need. From that visit forward your cleanings and exams will most likely occur at the same visit.

 

-I’m in pain. Can you see me today?

We see same day emergency patients and walk-ins are welcome.  Emergency patients and walk-in are always welcome for same day appointments.

 

-Are you good with patients that have anxiety about dentistry?

Your comfort is very important to us.  Our dentists are very gentle and understand patients’ anxiety about coming to the dentist. Our West Chester, OH dental office offers nitrous oxide and our dentists are trained in giving anti-anxiety medications for challenging procedures.

 

-Do you take my insurance?

We accept most PPO insurance plans.  We accept any PPO insurance policy.  As a courtesy, one of our staff members can call and verify your dental benefits for you.

 

-Do you know how much my insurance pays on procedures?

We make every effort to verify patients’ benefits before their appointment. If future treatment is needed, treatment plan ESTIMATES are given based on insurance co pays.

 

-Do you see patients without insurance?

We do see patients without insurance however, payment is due at time of service.  We will be happy to accept your payment of cash, personal check, Visa/MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Care Credit.  Cash paying patients are always welcome.  We accept cash, checks, any major credit card or care credit (contact our office staff to find out more details on care credit).  Payment is due at time of service.

 

 

 

-Do you pull teeth?

We can perform the majority of extractions, both simple and complicated here at the office. More advanced cases would be referred to an oral surgeon.  We perform most extractions at our office; however, after the doctor has the opportunity to evaluate the patient if the extraction needs to be performed by an oral surgeon we will provide a referral.

 

-Do you see children?

Generally we start cleaning children's teeth at age 3. We will examine children younger if there is a concern or for a wellness check.

 

-Do you do same day crowns?

We have E4D technology which allows us to offer patients same day crown procedures based on an individual basis.
