Dr. Andrew Killgore is passionate about dentistry and the opportunity to provide his patients with the latest advancements in dentistry. That is why since receiving his DMD degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2005, he has accumulated more than 900 hours of continuing education. In his ambitious post-graduate studies, his focus has been on innovative implant techniques and cosmetic dentistry. He surveyed the major advanced study centers in dentistry and from them selected the world reknown Kois Center in Seattle, WA. This prestigious education is a commitment to life-long learning along side of some of America's top dental experts. He is currently pursuing a track of study that will make him eligible to become a clinical instructor for this organization. He recently fulfilled requirements for receiving a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, a designation achieved by only seven percent of general dentists nationwide. Dr. Killgore is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Killgore's passion remains dental mission work. He has been a leader of mission teams to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Uganda. In Afinia Dental's first 2 years of operation, he was honored to provide over $45,000 worth of free dental care to the needy in Cincinnati during Afinia Cares day.
Dr. Killgore received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Prior to entering dental school, Dr. Killgore enjoyed the outdoors as an Outward Bound mountaineering instructor in Montana and then worked in dental equipment sales. During dental school he excelled in academics, received awards for his research in cleft lip and cleft palate birth defects, as well as several dental implant awards.
Andrew and his wife, Cara, are the proud parents of Drew, Noah, and Kate.
Dr. Aaron Shaftel received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degrees from The Ohio State University. After graduating, Dr. Shaftel sought expanded education in more complex dental procedures and was accepted into the prestigious University Hospital AEGD Residency Program. Dr. Shaftel entered private practice upon completion of the residency. He is currently pursuing his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and completing the rigorous diplomate requirements for the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine which will make him only the 7th dentist to achieve this designation in the State of Ohio. Dr. Shaftel is a member of the American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, The Cincinnati Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Shaftel is married to his wife, Jennifer, and has rescue dog named Chewy. In his spare time Dr. Shaftel has a passion for athletics and coaches Sycamore High School Men’s Lacrosse Team. He serves as a team dentist for Sycamore High School and has worked with both UC and Ohio State University in fabricating athletic mouthguards for their football teams.
Dr. Andrew Jordan attended Xavier University on an academic and athletic scholarship where he earned his degree in Biology. Upon graduation, he attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He was the only dentist in his class to complete the demanding program for certification in IV conscious sedation. This allows him to offer an alternative method for apprehensive patients to receive their dental treatment. During his 4th year, he spent nearly a month at the Medical College of Virginia on an oral surgery externship. While in Richmond, he gained a great deal of experience in the extraction of difficult teeth as well as the placement and restoration of dental implants. He successfully carried this experience into the clinic when he returned to Ohio State and was honored upon graduation with the Pre-doctoral Achievement Award by The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Jordan is passionate about dentistry and has consistently pursued double the amount of required continuing education since graduation. In addition to traditional dentistry, Dr. Jordan is particularly focused on cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign® and smile designs.
Dr. Jordan’s greatest priority is to treat everyone like family and provide them with the highest quality of dental care. He strives to make each visit as enjoyable as possible and makes your comfort his top priority.
Outside the office he is an avid outdoorsman; he enjoys camping, hiking, skiing, golfing and tennis. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife Liz and together they share this love for the outdoors particularly marathon running. They have run several marathons together, including the prestigious Boston Marathon.
Dr. Christopher Heck(East Cincinnati Office) is a second-generation dentist from Dayton, OH, who received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. There he gained a solid clinical foundation working on the nation's largest dental school patient population with a focus on the complex dental needs of the underserved and underinsured in North Philadelphia. After graduation, he attending the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at University Hospital in Cincinnati, providing high-quality, comprehensive general dental care to healthy and medically compromised patients, while receiving advanced training an all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Heck is committed to the very highest standards in patient care and treatment outcomes, and enjoys the relationships he creates with his patients.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Ohio Dental Association and Cincinnati Dental Society. Through continuing education, he is focused on training in the areas of cosmetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. In school, Dr. Heck was a involved for four years in student government, the Stomatognapthic Honor Socity and received the prestigious Leadership Award given by the International College of Dentists for demonstrated and future leadership potential in the field of Dentistry. He is currently a delegate representing the Cincinnati Dental Society with the Ohio Dental Association.
Dr. Heck received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, OH. In his free time, he enjoys working outdoors, playing volleyball and reading about the history of popular music.
Dr. Jonathan Conover (East Cincinnati Office) joined our practice in 2011. Dr. Conover is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, the University of Notre Dame, and St. Xavier High School. He chose general dentistry because it provides the opportunity to forge long-term relationships with patients, and it offers an exciting scope of practice. Dr. Conover regularly exceeds state requirements for continuing education, and is committed to staying on the cutting edge of advancements in dentistry. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and has received awards including the Community Dentistry and Public Health Award from the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry.
Dr. Conover spends his free time with his wife, Jess, and baby daughter, Lucy. He also enjoys softball, golf, and following the Reds and Bengals.
Dr. Jaclyn Fait (East Cincinnati Office) received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. While in dental school, Dr. Fait volunteered over school breaks at the McMicken Dental Center for the homeless in Over-the-Rhine. After graduation, Dr. Fait spent several years at a practice serving underprivileged children. She also has extensive experience treating the edentulous patient. Dr. Fait is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Cincinnati Dental Society.
During her spare time, Dr. Fait enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her new daughter, Mackenzie.
